What's up everyone! The next chapter of Jill Rhodes's tale is illustrated and is currently being written, so it'll be up in a couple days or so, thus concluding Part 3 and marking the halfway point of the story. I do, however, have something fairly important to make known.

This project is a labor of love, as much as anything else I put my creative mind to. However, it does take a colossal amount of time and energy to get just one chapter done. By my estimation, this newest picture and story will have taken close to 50 hours of brainstorming, outlining and writing/illustrating to do within the span of a week. In some cases I forgo sleep entirely to get as much done as possible; I can be like that once I get a spark going. The story in particular takes a great deal of thought, as I want Jill Rhodes's story to be have something to say.

Long story short, I pour an enormous amount of time into this and put it up for all to see free of charge. What would really, and I mean really give me more of a justifiable reason to work on this project is if people donated money. I don't have any minimum amount; its a tough economy we live in so I perfectly understand if people don't have a lot to spare. But if people donated, I would be able to justify committing more time to work on this alongside my other projects.

With that said, donations or not, I intend to see this story to the end, but as it stands, it'll probably take a while as you probably know well by now. So if you feel that my work is worth dropping a donation, then send me a note and I'll give you my paypal information.

So, I've been MIA once again for...forever. The reason for this is quite simple: I'm heavily involved in the making of a progressive rock album. Yes, I am also a musician. Anyway, its an ambitious project that involves a number of other musicians, and needless to say its taken up a huge amount of my time these past few months. If you like Rush, King Crimson, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Yes, you'll probably like the music. But it also draws from a number of other genres too; the goal was to avoid sticking too much to one sound.

The good news is that the project is nearing completion and I"ll be starting a Kickstarter to help fund physical production of CDs. Here's a special deal for my DA viewers: If you donate USD$100 to the Kickstarter, you'll get a signed CD, an extra instrumental version of the album, a poster, and an unused picture of Jill that will be unique to each donor. In other words, you alone will have the original picture (I will make a copy of it for my own records of course), and will be the only person besides myself who will see it. It will be totally up to you if you want to share it on your DA page or anywhere else.

This will be limited to five people on a first come first serve basis.

All the pictures are of Jill at various stages of her growth and are shaded. They were not used because I simply had way too many pictures of Jill to fit into the story. Anyway, if you're interested in this, send me a private message as well as any preference you might have for Jill's size in the picture. I'll reserve the picture for you and once the Kickstarter begins, which should be in a few days, you just donate and I'll have your stuff ready to go in a month or so!

A very late happy new year to everyone...as you probably figured, I've been on a well deserved vacation now that grad school is over...but now the wheels are slowly turning again and I'm in the process of brainstorming the next chapter while finishing off shading for the accompanying picture.

The latest chapter in the Jill Rhodes saga has been posted, sorry it took so freaking long! I should explain that these chapters take an *enormous* amount of time, probably about 30 + hours to do both the picture and story, even more if the picture has more than one person in it. This is a pretty involved commitment on top of all the other things in life I have to deal with, so there will be periods where I simply cannot work on this project. I do apologize for this, but rest assured I intend to see this project till the very end, and huge, huge thanks to all of you for your support! This story and the pictures would not exist without you people.

It's been a rather busy last couple months for me, between graduate work, music, and everything in between. Fortunately, I've managed to sweep it all under the rug for a bit for some much needed relaxation, so you can expect the next chapter shortly.
